I just got back from Bangkok and Bali. I was on vacation for 1.5 weeks. Hence I didn’t send in any newsletters last week (hopefully you missed me). Here’s a pic of me that you didn’t ask for:

The very very weird thing is, I added $11k/month in recurring revenue, while I was gone. Just looked at my phone, said ‘yeay!’ and got back to sipping Corona on a beach. How did I accomplish this?

Well, I had my client success manager reengage with 2 old clients to activate their video editing subscription with us. This is $7k/mo.

And I had my SDR book in 8 calls last week, where my closer closed 2 and 3 are pending for closes this week. This is $4k/mo.

In total, I generated $11k/mo last week while on a beach because of my employees.

The crazy thing about all of this?

All of these are remote talents that I pay no more than $12/hour.

The #1 thing I did to make sure these talents were compentent before I hired them was test their skills.

Client Sucess Manager: She scored 80%+ on tests for communication, problem solving, & verbal reasoning.

Closer: He did a mock sales call with me before I hired him.

SDR: I had her record a mock cold call before I even interviewed her.

Now combined, they made me money while I was on a beach somewhere.

It goes to show, if you hire the correct people, and have the correct hiring process, you can finally HAVE a business. Not be a glorified freelancer.
